I like the idea of splitting the shower curtain. Makes it easier for bathin' the chillin's and cleaning the tub and showing off your tile if you so desire! I mean look at this guy...they even hung a sunburst mirror inside. Wowza.

How much do we love her?
I'm a big fan of Giuliana . No, I do not know her personally. And yes, she is a TV Host/reality star so I might only be seeing an edited version of her but the reasons I admire her, I feel, are very genuine. Giuliana is a woman who had a dream and worked really hard to achieve her goals. What's not to admire about that? Plus, I feel like she is gracious about her success. She didn't expect it, and is in slight awe and disbelief of it despite the fact that she earned it. That humility is what, in my opinion, makes her so likable.
I also really like that Giuliana is a woman who proves that you can have it all-a successful career, a functional/loving relationship and motherhood (as was announced yesterday...yeah!). Just because you are driven, doesn't mean that you don't want those other things and I like that she represents that in a positive way. And she might have achieved love a bit later in life but I think that is because she only planned to do it once and waited for the right man. I respect that.
And Giuliana is positive and funny. Two things that are very important! Giuliana has been really optimistic throughout her quest to get pregnant, despite how emotionally difficult and physically taxing that must be on her. And now that she is also fighting breast cancer, she is still finding a way to remain encouraged about her future. Somehow she continues to work hard, keep a smile on her face and make jokes despite all her struggles.
I totally started bawling yesterday when I heard that they were going to have a baby! Again, I do not know these people and I really don't watch their show that much but I have just been a cheerleader for them (along with the rest of the world)! And as an unmarried 36 year old woman who wants five kids (yes, I know) I think their story pulled at my heart strings. Anyway, so so happy for them!!!
And now to bring it back to interior design....
I've also enjoyed watching them tackle the building/remodeling of their homes. I love'd G's quote "I need Rosetta stone for decorating" when she was complaining that she didn't understand what Bill and their decorator, Jennifer were talking about. Hilarious.
[Giuliana if you happen to be reading this, there is no need to get a restraining order.]

So just when I thought my boy JT couldn't get sexier....he has topped himself. I mean, he wants to rock my body till the break of day, do funny parodies with Andy Sandberg AND talk about interior design!?!?! Where do I sign up? Seriously people, he is creating a line of home furnishings and accessories. It hasn't debuted just yet but here is the link for you to bookmark.
He is collaborating with his interior designer Estee Stanley.
As Justin tells Elle Decor, “I like very clean, almost modern architecture, and the obstacle with something like that is making it extremely warm, because it doesn’t naturally lend itself to that. With everything we do together, we try to get the juxtaposition right. To make pieces and rooms that are multifaceted, that blend different genres of architecture and design” whom he gave a preview of the pieces.
Never heard of her? Neither had I. But that's because I am not very cool. But I already don't like her because her life is way better than mine.
Originally from Southern California, she has been working in Hollywood for the past 15 years doing styling and residential design. Dream mix of career for any girl I must say! Some of her clients include Ashley Olsen, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel and Lea Michele. After looking through her website, I am already a huge fan! I can't wait to see their product line which debuts in early May.

In honor of Domino's Special Edition Quick Fixes coming out today, I thought I would show some of my favorite pics from the magazine. I still have every magazine. I can't seem to get rid of them...wonder if I ever will??? Probably not.
I think this was in the premier issue...Ruthie Sommers.
Mary McDonald's Office
This always reminded me of what Barbie's office would look like if she was real.
I talk about these people like I know them personally.
This door inspired me to paint my front door Peacock Blue.
Just brilliant styling...
I think I might go curl up with a bottle of wine and read through all my Domino's, cover to cover. See you in about 16 hours....

I've had lots of people ask me lately about my e-decorating services so I thought I would take a quick minute to remind y'all how it works. Basically, e-decorating is an abbreviated interior design service meaning it is not turn-key but I do provide clients with a Floorplan and/or Design Plan for a room or rooms in their homes that they can then implement themselves. It is a great way for me to work with clients from a distance and a great service for clients who are DIY'ers but need the vision of a designer to create a plan of action.
I charge by the room and price varies slightly by room based on the time involved for that particular room. You pay a deposit up front and then the balance is due at the completion of the project. I do my best to source products that you can get on your own via catalogs, the internet or local shops however sometimes I do recommend products that you can purchase directly through Eclectic. The idea is that you don't have to buy everything all at once or right away but you can use the Design Plan as a guide when putting your room together, no matter how long it takes for you to complete the project!
I have an email packet that I can send you which further explains all of this information including pricing, a questionnaire and a contract. If you have any additional questions, please let me know, I am happy to help!
Here are some examples of the e-decorating projects I have worked on....
"Living in a small, rural town made Eclectic's e-design service the perfect solution for me. Sidney's most effective tool, I feel, is her ability to listen to her clients. She took the time to fully understand my vision, wishes and needs. Her guidance and professional opinions were always thoughtfully presented in order to accomplish the job while being mindful of the primary use for my living room as well as my sense of style. I am extremely happy with her design and plan on using Eclectic again for my next project."
"I was looking for a reasonable way to get some guidance on decorating and first used
to help with my family room. I loved how easy the process was to share my ideas
and room measurements and get a new design - all via email. Also, getting
the list of products/resources allowed me to buy items when it made sense for
me to do so. When my dinning room needed an updated, I came back to Sidney and am so excited
to work to put her design into place! I will definitely come back for more
ideas in the future." Sidney
“It was such a great experience working with Sidney. She really listened to what I wanted and presented a design plan that I am thrilled about. Her e-design services were a perfect option for me and I couldn’t believe how easy the process was. I look forward to implementing my e-design plans and working with her in the future to make the rest of my house as beautiful as my master bedroom.”

I'm thinking the determined tortoise won the race and the cocky hare was so mad that he beat him to death. Then hung his shell on the wall like a trophy.
[Forgive me, that was kinda wrong.]
